Fruit Juice Detox – How To Naturally Clean Your Body
Posted on 17. Aug, 2009 by juice gal in juice detox
Fruit juice detox is like giving your body a good cleaning from the inside out.
It is believed that our bodies need to be cleaned out because of a buildup of toxins. These toxins come from a variety of places. For example, if you are a smoker, your body builds up the poisons in cigarettes. You also get toxins from the processed food you eat, they are loaded with chemicals that help improve taste and extend their shelf-life.
You also have environmental toxins that come from pollution. Toxins are absorbed your skin, lungs, or through digestion. Then they are then stored in your body fat. Because your body becomes overloaded with toxins, it can affect your overall well-being.
You may have some of the more common types of health complaints associated with a toxic buildup. They are stress, fatigue, feeling run down, headaches, and weight gain. By using a fruit juice detox, you can help your body purge itself.
Some of the great benefits are not only weight loss but also a loss of inches. Your immune system will get a little boost. The process can also clean out your pores, giving you a better complexion. Many people swear this is the only way to eliminate cellulite.
If you are new to the process of detoxing, it is recommended that you start slowly. Taking it one day at a time, since your only calorie intake will be fruit juice.
Remember that fruit juice contains a lot of extra sugar. So if you are diabetic, this is not a good way for you to detox.
Unless a doctor tells you otherwise, only use the fruit juice detox method for three consecutive days.
The only thing you really need is a juicer. In order to detox correctly, you need to use fresh juice from fresh fruits, preferable organically grown.
Try a variety of fruits like guava, papaya, or kiwi. As you learn more, try experimenting by combining a few. Make sure you drink plenty of fruit juice and water – you do not want to dehydrate.
There are only a few cons to the fruit juice detox process. The main downfall is that if you are continuously detoxing, you can lose vital nutrients and vitamins.
For instance, you will cut out all diary and milk products reducing your calcium intake. It can also interfere with your social life, as eating out will be out of the question. Some also worry that, in a few people, the lack of food can lead to eating disorders in those who already have food issues.
For most people, though, fruit juice detox is a way for them to give their body a rest. It allows your body to recuperate from all the things in our food supply and environment.
