Juice Detox Fast

Juice detox is a type of fasting that uses fresh juices as its nutritional foundation.  Fruits and vegetables that are juiced in a juice machine supply concentrated forms of nutrients that are quickly and easily absorbed by the body.  For this reason, a juice detox may be preferred over a water fast.

A detoxifying diet with fresh juices typically lasts between one and seven days with three to five being the norm.  An amount of between 32 and 64 ounces of juice is usually recommended.  Typically the juice can be made from vegetables such as spinach, cabbage, kale, celery, beets, and carrots.  For sweetness a fruit such as apple is added.

There are many reasons to do a juice detox.  Some people do it to remove toxins from the body.  Others fast to achieve weight loss.  Still others use this detox method as a start to beginning a new routine for a healthier lifestyle.
