Fruit and Vegetable Juice Detox Diet

The fruit and vegetable juice detox diet consists of drinking only juices for a few days in order to remove toxins from the body through the colon. With adequate attention and preparation this can be a useful health tool.
Consider using a variety of fruit and vegetable sources for your next juice detox. Using a combination of these will help you get the most nutrients. For instance, many fruit juices can be beneficial on the cellular level and tend to detoxify more quickly. Some important fruits to try for a juice detox diet are apples, pears, grapes, lemons, oranges, pineapples and cherries. Though fruits taste the best, drinking too many can detoxify your body too quickly. In this case you should mix the fruits with vegetable juices. Celery, cucumber, spinach, cabbage, tomato, carrot, beets, and bell peppers make excellent additions. You can create your own recipe combinations from any of your favorite foods.
