Learn about the Cranberry Juice Detox

Cranberries are powerful fruits that contain antioxidants and are considered to fight cancer.  They do this by protecting the immune system and the heart and blood vessels.  Cranberries also have diuretic and anti-adhesion properties which help to detoxify the kidneys and keep the urinary tract healthy.

Cranberries contain lots of essential nutrients such as vitamin A, C, B complex, Fiber, calcium, iron, folic acid, potassium, phosphorous, sodium, and sulpher.  The pigment that gives cranberries their rich color contain bioflavanoids, which helps the body repair molecules that are damaged when oxygen is used.  As you can see, cranberries are very beneficial to the body.  In fact
this power fruit is at the center of a popular juice detox diet.

To see the full effects of the cranberry juice detox diet, it will take about two to three weeks.  This consists of drinking a glass of 100% cranberry juice twice per day.  During the two week period you should eat a healthy diet of rice (preferably brown rice), vegetables and beans.  Some people prefer to add supplements to this juice diet.  To do this add one teaspoon of apple pectin and one teaspoon of psyllium husk powder to 2 ounces of cranberry juice diluted in 8 ounces of water.  Drink the mixture first thing in the morning.

Always drink plenty of water and when transitioning back to a normal diet, add your foods back one at a time.
